| Located on I-70 midway between Kansas City and St. Louis and near the center of the state, Columbia is known as "College Town U.S.A." because of the 20,000 students who flock to its three colleges each semester. They are: Mizzou, the flagship of the University of Missouri campuses; Stephens College and Columbia College. Columbia is a pleasant small city with several good used book stores and a variety of restaurants. |
